Hello again, if there is anyone still there. I am back from my holiday break. A break that I didn't plan on taking, and didn't realize I was on until my lack of gym time and constant snacking on holiday goodies became oh so apparent to me by the sudden, unexpected and definitely unwanted return of my buddha belly. Needless to say I have resolved yet again to get back on track. I have returned to the gym and sharly decreased the calorie intake. Back to basics. Since I have little to report on since it's only day 2 back at the gym there is only one thing I'd like to share.
Two words that are very similar. Two words that it's hard to distinguish the difference between. Two words that some think mean the same thing. Motivation and inspiration. Motivation comes from motivate meaning to provide with motive, incent or induce; prompt. Inspiration come from inspire meaning to fill with an animating, quickening, or exalting influence. Yea I know you are saying what's with the grammar lesson, but even I had to really think to myself what's the difference. To me in the end it comes down to motivation being very matter of fact, like my gaining 10 pounds can be my motivation for getting back to the gym. But inspiration usually involves invoking emotions. Like today at the gym I saw a gentelman with only one leg. He was on the treadmill and had a prosthetic leg. He inspired me to do better, because with all he had to overcome he's still putting himself out there and working hard. I don't have that disadvantage he does. SO it made me look at myself and think I should be working just as hard if not harder at what I want. I can't get downon myself for trivial things, because there are folks worse off than me. So that guy at the gym he's my inspiration. See the difference?
Peace.
